Terms of use

These terms govern your use of this website. They do not govern consulting work — that is set out in a written scope agreed before anything begins.

01About these terms

This website is operated by VYCAN Consulting, ABN 30 307 496 690, a registered sole trader delivering HRIS system integration, automation and data work remotely across Australia and New Zealand. In these terms, we, us and VYCAN Consulting mean that business, and you means the person using this site.

By using this site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site.

02This site is not an offer

Nothing on this website is an offer to provide services, a quote, or a contract. Reading the site, following a link, or sending an email does not create an engagement and does not oblige either of us to anything.

Consulting work begins only when a written scope has been agreed and signed. That document — not this website — sets out what is being built, on what schedule, at what price, and who is responsible for what. Where anything on this site differs from a signed scope, the signed scope governs.

03Information on this site

The information here is general in nature and is provided in good faith. It describes the kinds of problems this practice works on. It is not technical advice, legal advice, or advice about your particular systems, and you should not act on it without talking to someone about your own situation.

No client data appears anywhere on this site.

Third-party systems change. Descriptions of what a platform or its interfaces can do reflect our understanding at the time of writing and may be out of date. Always confirm current capability with the vendor.

04System names and trademarks

This site names a number of third-party systems so you can tell whether the work is relevant to you. Those names are used descriptively and for identification only.

Frontier Software, ichris, chris21, Dayforce, UKG, Humanforce, Deputy, ADP, Workday, SAP, TechnologyOne, PageUp, ELMO, Culture Amp, Ausmed, AlayaCare, Microsoft Entra ID and Oracle are the trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective owners.

VYCAN Consulting is independent. We are not affiliated with, partnered with, endorsed by, sponsored by, certified by, or a reseller or agent for any of the vendors named on this site. No statement on this site should be read as any vendor's endorsement of VYCAN Consulting, or as VYCAN Consulting speaking on a vendor's behalf.

Your own agreements with a vendor remain between you and that vendor. We do not vary them, and engaging us does not affect your licensing, support or contractual position with any vendor.

05Links to other sites

This site links to pages we do not control, including the ABN Lookup register. Those links are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy or availability of any external site, and a link is not an endorsement.

06Intellectual property

The content of this site — its text, layout, design, code and the VYCAN Consulting name and mark — belongs to VYCAN Consulting or is used with permission. You may read it, print it and share links to it. You may not reproduce it commercially, present it as your own, or use the VYCAN Consulting name or mark without written permission.

Ownership of anything produced during a consulting engagement — code, field maps, scope documents, runbooks and diagrams — is dealt with in the written scope for that engagement, not here.

07Availability

We do not promise that this site will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors. It is a static website hosted by a third party, and it may be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We may change or remove any part of it at any time without notice.

08Liability

Certain rights and guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law cannot be excluded, restricted or modified. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any of those rights or guarantees. Where our liability under the Australian Consumer Law can be limited, it is limited to resupplying the relevant services, or paying the cost of having them resupplied.

Subject to that, and to the extent the law permits, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, this website — including indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, and loss of or damage to data.

Liability arising out of consulting work is dealt with in the written scope for that engagement, not in these terms.

09Privacy

How we handle personal information is set out in our privacy policy. In short: this website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and has no forms, so it collects nothing about you directly.

10Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia and the Commonwealth of Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Australia and the courts that hear appeals from them.

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, that part is severed and the rest continues to apply.

11Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version published here is the current one, and the date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
